Za'atar is a spice blend that is commonly found in Lebanon, Jordan, North Africa, Turkey and Syria. Most often it is combined with olive oil and used as a dip, spread, or marinade. Za'atar can be used to season vegetables and meat while they are roasting and is also eaten as a snack.
Use create a dip combine 1 tablespoon za'atar and 1/4 cup olive oil.
Ingredients: white sesame seeds, thyme, sumac, marjoram, savory, and traces of salt.
