Fancy Flavors: Compound Butter Thursday, May 08 2014 1 Comment

Creamy, flavorful compound butter - lovingly called “fancy butter” - is butter infused with additional ingredients, like herbs, spices, nuts and aromatic liquids. Use these fancy butters to enhance your roasted or steamed veggies, seafood, meat and baked goods and make special occasion meals extra wonderful.

Simply let unsalted butter soften, then whip together with additional herbs, spices and liquids. Reform into a log shape, wrap in parchment paper or plastic wrap and chill until firm enough to be sliced.

Package in kraft paper and attach a decorative label or tag for a lovely gift for foodie friends and dinner party guests.
